Web Page To Pdf

My husband is a computer guru.  I have always had a hard time figuring out how to find the “on” button on my computer.  This makes for a lot of teasing in my house whenever I need to do some computer related tasks.  There are two options for me, I can either buy a book and spend $29.95 on some boring, mundane task or I can ask the computer guru and put up with the air of smug that will cover my office for a few days after.  So my latest effort to turn a web page to a PDF ended with me asking my husband for help.  I decided to make him write down the steps so that the next time you need to turn a web page to a PDF, you won't have to bow down to someone else's better knowledge.  Instead, you will look like the amazing, computer savvy individual that you really are deep down.

There are several programs that you can use to turn a webpage into a PDF.  The one that I used was called CutePDF.  I'm almost certain that all of the programs kind of work the same way but I'm trying to speak from experience so I will use CutePDF as my example. While I can't vouch for any other programs, I can tell you that CutePDF is pretty easy to use.  Here are the steps.

Web Page To Pdf
  1.  Go to www.cutepdf.com and click the download button to download the program
  2. Find the webpage that you want to turn into a PDF and open the page.
  3. Go up to the left hand corner of your screen and click on file.  Now click on print.
  4. Click on the boxes that list your printer options.  You should see CutePDF listed as an option.  Click on it so that is your printer choice.
  5. Next save your PDF and give it a name
  6. Check out the web page!  It is no longer a webpage!  You have a PDF file in front of you.

You might have to turn other documents into PDF files and guess what?  You can use CutePDF for that too!  Follow the same instructions with whatever document you're using and you should be able to produce the same results.  So now you can save yourself the trouble of having to print out info that you really just want to save.  Even better, you save some trees in the process.  Hope this will help you in converting your web page to a PDF.
